Today I spent two hours documenting our mail dispatch for Nov 12th... for the purpose of "pretending" we had had a zero bundle. Documentation included box scan history, copies of the Last Dispatch Record, SOP for dispatch and Deviation requirements, Timecard data for the day in question, letters from management, the collection/dispatch clerk, and the HCR driver. I also had to include the HCR schedule, and photos of the collection box labels. It is time we collectively protest this ridiculous exercise, and others like it, by using the clerk hours we need (regardless of the budget) to insure we perform the tasks expected of us each day. I can honestly say that were it not for excessive reporting, I could use 2-3 less clerk hours per day. How do they find time to track these reports at a time we are running a billion dollar deficit? Then.... rumor has it they might be eliminating coils from our stamp stock? Who is in charge!
